obscura can convert ordinary ASCII into Unicode characters, to allow the use of additional fonts
that are embedded in Unicode, to access hard-to-type Unicode characters, or to make one's text
harder for bots to read.

obscura on the web has an input window and an output window.
There are several buttons to select how you want your text transformed.
Switches (e.g. -x) can be mixed in with the text to change modes at any time

Dictionaries exist for hieroglyphs and runes.  These are works in progress.

?symbol will show all partial matches for symbol
-z will display all of them.

-x will keep converting words into characters until it gets to a word that is neither in the dictionary nor a valid hexadecimal number.  Then it will revert to the previous mode.

-X is a stickier version of -x.  It will use the previous mode to process anything that is not in the dictionary or valid hexadecimal, until you explicitly switch modes with one of the switches described above.
